bullshit-bullsharksMuskox (Ovibos mosochatus)

This hairy beauty is called the Muskox and is an Arctic mammal known for it’s thick coat & strong smell emitted from males of the species. This odor is used to attracted females during the mating, or rutting, season around June or July. Females will then be pregnant for 8-9 months, and typically give birth from April-June. Females do not give birth every year, and when threatened herds of these animals will form a circle around the calves. Males will typically be on the very outside of these circles. These herds can consist of 8 to 24 oxen.
