Western Painted Turtle (Chrysemys picta bellii)
Freshwater omnivorous basking turtle found in western and north central United States and southern Canada. They reach up to 25 cm (10 in) shell length, the largest of the Painted Turtle subspecies. They have a very distinctively colorful plastron (under shell).
