Long-beaked Blindsnake (Ramphotyphlops grypus)
Found across both arid and semi-arid parts, as well as forested areas, of Northern Australia. These snakes are often associated with termite mounds, as termites and their eggs are the majority of their diet. They may also be found in leaf litter and under rotting logs, where termites occur. They are believed to be oviparous (egg laying).
